About us
Since 1989, the GEMEX family business has specialized in exporting fruits and vegetables.
Jos and Mariette, Mario and Sven, second and Tom, third generation and 18 employees are responsible for the smooth running of buying and selling, quality control, loading, accounting….
Since February 2016, GEMEX moved to Genk in its new building, where the offices, storage and refrigeration were brought together under one roof. In 2022, the expansion was inaugurated in Genk, doubling the surface area.
All products are purchased daily fresh from the various suppliers and Belgian fruit and vegetable auctions and delivered the same day by our subsidiary, ACF-transport, with its own refrigerated trucks.
Its good location near the major fruit auctions guarantees a daily fresh product, especially during the strawberry season.
Gemex’s assets are: more than 35 years of experience, reliability, quality, flexibility, good service, continued commitment and a heart for the business.
This results in long-term and successful relationships with customers.

To get our fruits and vegetables to our customers day fresh, we have our own fleet of trucks under the company name ACF.
12 trucks and 13 trailers take care of this. On the one hand, they make sure that the products bought in the morning arrive on time in the afternoon, and on the other, they take care of the transport from Genk to our customers.
They are also used for third parties such as return shipments brought back from Germany after the vegetables have been delivered. We are very proud of our experienced drivers who always do their work well and are our first point of contact towards the customers. Some of them have been with us for more than 30 years and still do their utmost for us.
